Cynthia's Shed

Looking at the date on this, the original drawing was done in 2020. It was drawn from a photograph in pen and ink, then run through a couple of computer programmes. The line drawing was re-traced in Illustrator and then the final line work had colour dropped on it in Photoshop. Since doing all this I've gone back to basics and am now just drawing and painting, no fancy retrace ( which in some ways sucks the immediacy out of the drawing ) and no more Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I've ditched them too. When I found this the other day I did think that this is one of the ones that worked reasonably well.

Cynthia was a neighbour on the plot I used to have at the nearby allotments, and I gave her the original line drawing. I no longer have my allotment, so all current potatoes are bought. The new tenant on my plot has revitalised it, but I drop in now and again to take photos of the fine collection of sheds down there, sheds being one of my favourite subjects.

Cynthia had no idea that she was creating a major work of art with her shed, but she was.
