One of my favourites from this small collection of Al's work. This moody atmospheric field has been beautifully rendered in soft pastel. It is almost, but not quite an abstract. Like almost all of Al's work this is an imagined scene, a sort of memory of a scene that he might have viewed at some time, that he has kept in his imagination locker and managed to create on paper. A fine art indeed.
