The Purton Hulks are a group of old ships and boats that were deliberately grounded at the village of Purton on the banks of the River Severn in Gloucestershire to help combat erosion, and it's worked. These rotting vessels now make spectacular riverside sculptures in their own right, major works of art to me. There are several versions of them on this site.
